“My girlfriend and I started heading out to Buffalo Chip and a few other country bars, and we figured it was time we learned how to actually dance. We got pretty overwhelmed online with all the different styles; Arizona Two Step, Progressive Two Step, Country Swing, and so on. We tried picking it up on YouTube, but it was a mess. We decided we needed some real help, found Alex, and let me tell you, he’s awesome. Super laid-back, made us feel right at home, and made learning a whole lot of fun. Right now we’re mostly working on Arizona Two Step with a bit of Progressive Two Step mixed in, and we honestly can’t wait for each lesson. If you’re looking to get out there and dance with some confidence, you have to check out Alex!”

“I met Alex at one of the show events he hosted in Scottsdale. He’s super fun and easy to vibe with. In just 30 minutes, he taught me some basic bachata and salsa steps that I really enjoyed, and I ended up social dancing the rest of the night, which I’d never done before. I’m usually into EDM and shuffling, so this was a whole new world for me. Alex is awesome.”

“My husband and I had a bunch of weddings coming up and I had always wanted us to actually learn how to dance together, but we never got around to it. With all the weddings on the way, it felt like the perfect excuse to finally start lessons so we wouldn’t just be standing there awkwardly. We started with Swing, Salsa, and Rumba to have some variety, and honestly, we didn’t expect to love it as much as we do (especially my husband, which surprised me!). Now we can usually tell what dance fits with a song, and we feel way more confident getting up and dancing pretty much anywhere. Alex made it super easy to learn — he gave us a ton of tips and really helped us feel comfortable fast. Definitely recommend him if you want to actually enjoy dancing and not feel stressed about it!”

“I’ve been taking dance lessons with Alex Maslanka for almost 3 years. I liked Alex from the beginning. He is a great dancer, teacher and wonderful person. I’ve learned so much and have become a much better dancer because of Alex. We have competed numerous times and have won most of them.

Alex is professional, patient, courteous and most of all, fun. I would highly recommend him for any level or style of dancing, as he is excellent in all. I came to him after 2 prior instructors and he is by far my favorite teacher. I cannot say enough good things about him!”

“Alex is not only a remarkable dancer and coach but also a dear friend. As a pro-am student, working with him has been an amazing journey. His expertise, passion, and dedication to my growth have had a tremendous impact on my dancing. One of Alex’s greatest strengths is his creativity, which brings a fun and personalized touch to each class and choreography. He tailors everything to my abilities and style, helping me enhance both my technique and performance. What truly sets him apart is his ability to challenge me while making the learning process enjoyable and motivating. His individualized approach has helped me build not only my skills but also the confidence to compete and perform at my best. I wholeheartedly recommend Alex to anyone eager to learn Latin dance. “My daughter Alina, who has trained in other dance styles, wanted to start ballroom lessons and began working with Alex. She immediately loved it! Believe it or not, my son who plays football also decided to start lessons with Alex to help with his sports. Alex truly has a special way of connecting with all kinds of kids, no matter their background. We’re so grateful for the positive impact he’s had on both of them!”

“Alex is an amazing instructor that has instilled in me a version of confidence and a skill set that I thought I’d never possess. I’ve always been the type of person that has been self conscious and shy to dance at weddings, parties, bars. I had two left feet and almost made it a profession to not be able to count music. Needless to say I was a student that required one on one attention to learn dance – and I could not think of anyone better to instruct me than Alex. He is patient, enthusiastic, and has the technical background to be the ideal instructor. He made learning dance fun and possible for someone who thought it was impossible. I would recommend him to anyone. He will give you the tools to want to be the first on the dance floor and be the last off of it. My wife and I have taken wedding dance lessons and numerous social dance lessons from him – they’ve become a routine date night for her and I. We’re both proud to call Alex our instructor and a friend.”

“I’ve been a professional dancer and choreographer for over 20 years, trained in multiple styles and genres such as Hip-Hop, Club Style Salsa, Ballroom, Latin, Country-Western, Swing (both East Coast and West Coast), Tango, and more. I met Alex around three years ago, and I can confidently say he is a one-of-a-kind instructor and dancer. He’s incredibly patient, kind, light-hearted, but also knows how to push you when needed. His versatility across so many dance styles is rare, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking to grow in their dancing.”
